Centenary of the Football Association 1963
Founded in 1863 the Football Association is the oldest national football association in the world. The FA is the governing body of association football in England, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. To the best of my knowledge only one country issued stamps to commemorate it's centenary in 1963. Strangely no UK stamps were issued rather it was left to Monaco to mark this significant event in global football history with a marvellous set of twelve fine football-themed stamps. Here they are on four first day covers ..
